Privacy Policy

by Angel Sefer

Author, blogger, and controller at www.angelsefer.com

I respect the privacy of my readers, and I am committed to protecting it. I require only an email address in order to register my readers, as they wish, on my newsletter list.

My promise to you: I will never share your private details with anyone. When you sign up for my newsletter, you will only receive email communications from me, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

For more information, please read below my detailed data and privacy policy.

DATA COLLECTION FOR MY NEWSLETTER

Via my newsletter, I inform my readers by email about my new releases, book offers, and generally whenever I have something fun or newsworthy to report. I send out newsletters sparsely, about once a month. The only information I request for the registration is an email address. In every newsletter, I provide the option to unsubscribe.

DATA COLLECTION FOR COMMENTS

When you leave a comment on my website, WordPress and the plugin Jetpack store your Gravatar name, IP address, email address, and browser user agent string to help spam detection. Therefore, leaving a comment is considered a clear affirmative action as defined by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) giving me consent to store this information. Your personal information will not be sold to any third parties under any circumstances. If you do not consent to this, please do not leave a comment.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so that any follow-up comments can be recognized and approved automatically instead of being held in a moderation queue.

If you require me to edit or delete a comment you have submitted on my site, kindly send me an email to angelsefer@ymail.com to advise your requirement, and I’ll assist you as soon as possible.

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

MEDIA

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the site can download and extract any location data from images on the site.

ACCESS TO DATA AND RETENTION

All private details that I collect for my newsletter subscribers are stored on my site, www.angelsefer.com, with the use of the WordPress plugin, Jetpack.

I am the sole controller of the data I collect and store on my site and the only person who has access to it on a day-to-day basis. Only in the case of a technical problem, access to this data may be given to trusted members of my technical team. In every case, the data is treated as strictly confidential and remains solely available on my website.

I will never rent, sell, or share data with others. If a subscriber wishes to see a copy of their private data, I will happily provide the information upon receiving their request by email.

I retain data for present and past subscribers on my site. If a subscriber wishes for their data to be deleted, I will happily do so upon receiving their request by email.

In case of a major technical problem, backups of my website are stored on my Google Drive for recovery purposes. Click here to read Google’s Privacy Policy.

SECURITY

I value your trust in providing me with your personal information and have selected reliable resources to maximize security for my website itself and the data stored in it. As you appreciate, no method of electronic storage on the Internet can be 100% secure and reliable; therefore, I cannot guarantee its absolute security. However, if there is ever a breach, I promise to inform the authorities and the affected subscribers by email as soon as possible and within 72 hours.
